Ninja Blade (PC version)
I’ve been playing this game for a couple of days. Ninja Blade is a nice “hack and slash” action game with some, shall we say “event key sensitive” scenes much like that of Spider-Man 3. It reminds me of Devil May Cry style of sword-fighting having some nice “moves”. Having the capability to upgrade weapons to a much stronger one using what the game calls “Blood Crystals”.
The story is about a city infested by an unknown-creatures which the main character (player controlled character) named Ken Ogawa with his team has to prevent from spreading further. Ken is equipped with swords, and shuriken which is used with his “Ninjutsu” ability.
I believe this game is ported from xbox 360. The game has good graphics and sound but for some reason or maybe due to different system configuration, I’ve read on some sites that the game is slow in terms of performance even if in a high end system. I tried this on my quad-core system with nvidia 9800gt graphics card and well, I can see what some people were saying. It’s stuttering and very laggy. Some say that since there are still no available fix or patch for this issue, a temporary fix that would help with this is to uninstall all HID that are not in use via device manager which I also tried, I guess it did help some but didn’t totaly made the lag go away. Also for some, setting the framerate lock to “variable” in the game’s options menu could help the performance, I did try it but it’s still the same for me I’m not sure.
Anyways, the story of the game is kind of weird but the hack-and-slash action is nice. I think the game could be much better if a patch fix is release for the performance issue on some system.
edit:
For some reason I tried to reinstall the game and didn’t uninstall any HID devices and the game runs smoothly on my quad-core system… weird!
